Andromedan Arts

                            Artist Bio - Catrina DeRenzo

I was born in late April of 1984 somewhere in Colorado.  Within a years’ time of my birth my family had packed up & made the move to California.  Before I reached the age of four we had moved two additional times before finding ourselves east coast bound.  Once reaching the east coast we had moved two more times when finally purchasing a home thirty minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia, in what was then still a quiet town.

Growing up I spent most of my days passing the time like any other child with an over-active imagination strung out on a sugar high with four other siblings; outside. I have 3 older brothers & a younger sister, so it almost goes without saying that at one point I tied a pastel pink blanket around my neck & made batman add a new color to his wardrobe. When I wasn’t spending my time journeying to the goblin castle, swimming with the mermaids, & looking for fairies, I was drawing/painting & fighting over the video game controllers.

Since those years I lend my art to the secret passages & hidden doors from the realms of lies, chaos, & insanity to worlds of truth, dreams, & fantasy.  Among the many favorite artists I have acquired over the years there are three that intrigue me the most, Salvador Dali, M. C. Escher & H. R. Giger.

Along side of my art I have also taken up modeling.  My dreams are to pursue both of these arts as a full time career. One day opening my own gallery in which I could show the arts of the many underground artist there are out there.

I found that I had become beach bound & now currently reside in the sunshine state of Florida.  Throughout this journey I hope to intrigue & inspire others with my creations as others have done for me.
